What are your payment terms?

For All “Supply Only” Orders

All ‘supply only’ orders will require a deposit.

A lead time will be given with all quotations as well as the total cost.

If your goods have a lead time greater than 8 weeks.

We only require a 10% holding deposit.

This secures a manufacturing slot and allows us to order any non standard stock items that may be required for your order. 6 weeks before your goods will be ready, we will require an interim payment to bring the deposit up to 30%.

For Example:

You place an order for goods totalling £1200 inc VAT, and the lead time is 12 weeks.

We take an initial holding deposit of £120 inc vat. Then, with 6 weeks to go, a payment of £240 inc vat is made, bringing the total amount paid to £360 inc vat (30%).

If your goods have a lead time of less than 8 weeks.

We require a 30% deposit.

In both of the above cases, the final payment of 70% will be needed a day or two before delivery; or, if you are collecting, you can pay on the day.

For All “Supply And Fit” Orders

All ‘supply and fit’ orders will require a deposit.

A lead time will be given with all quotations as well as the price.

Most orders that require Oak By Design to install have a lead time greater than 8-10 weeks.

We only require a small (maximum 10%) holding deposit.

With all ‘supply and fit’ quotations, we will include a personal payment schedule. This details what payment is required at what stage.

This is different with every order and is created prior to acceptance.

It will result in multiple stage payments and can include, for example ‘when manufactured’, ‘when on site’, ‘when erected’, ‘when water tight’ and ‘upon completion’.
